Ashton-Lord

Mick was one of the musicians on the now highly collectible tour de force album "First of the Big Bands" by the late Tony Ashton and Deep Purple's Jon Lord. The album was unique in that there were dozens of musicians in the studio at any given moment, literally a BIG band! The core horn section and rhythm section was the Roy Young band, Howie Casey, tenor sax, Dave Caswell, trumpet, Mick Clarke, guitar, George Ford, bass, Dennis Elliott, drums, with the addition of many more well known musicians of the time, including Ron Wood, Peter Frampton, drummer Cozy Powell, Frank Riccotti, (vibes) and the list goes on and on. On this track, "The Giver" Mick plays the drone wah wah guitar.
